The Scarlett Lady Makes Her Zadar Debut
Zadar Cruise Port welcomed Virgin Voyages for the first time in 2026, with the award-winning Scarlet Lady calling at Zadar as part of its Mediterranean itinerary. The visit marked the fifth maiden call of the year and added another internationally recognised cruise line to the port’s growing portfolio.
Scarlet Lady was welcomed in traditional Croatian fashion, with folkloric dancers performing as the ship arrived and guests receiving a taste of the destination through local delicacies and traditional sweets.

The arrival continued an exceptionally successful season for Zadar Cruise Port, which has already welcomed a number of maiden calls throughout 2026. With 43 different ships from 26 cruise lines scheduled to call this season, the breadth of Zadar’s cruise portfolio continues to grow. Together, these calls strengthen Zadar’s position within the cruise industry, support the development of higher-value tourism and reflect the continued confidence leading international cruise brands place in the destination.
Virgin Voyages’ first visit was particularly significant following a long-term effort to secure Zadar’s inclusion in the cruise line’s itineraries.
“This was a visit we had been working towards for a long time, so it was incredibly rewarding to finally welcome Scarlet Lady to Zadar,” said Rebeka V. Pevec MBA, General Manager of Zadar Cruise Port. “We look forward to building on this relationship and welcoming Virgin Voyages back in the future.”
Known for its distinctive approach to modern cruising, Virgin Voyages has established itself as one of the industry’s most recognised adults-only cruise brands, while Scarlet Lady has earned numerous international accolades for its innovative design and onboard guest experience.
