SeaCras App — Real-Time Marine Environment Monitoring

Zadar Cruise Port has partnered with the tech firm SeaCras and the Rewilding Velebit Foundation to launch an innovative app that monitors sea water quality in real time.

  • The app uses AI and satellite data to provide transparent sea-quality information accessible by QR codes placed in the terminal and local beaches.
  • This initiative is designed to engage cruise passengers, local residents, and visitors in environmental awareness and sustainable tourism, making marine data publicly available with no cost.
  • The project has been recognized internationally: it was shortlisted as a finalist in the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards 2025 in the category of Marine & Biodiversity Conservation Programme, placing Zadar Cruise Port alongside global leaders in environmental protection.
